Kosala Kamburadeniya graduated with a B.Sc. Engineering degree from the University of Moratuwa in 1993. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from the Open University of Sri Lanka, a Master of Business Administration from the university of Sri Jayawardenepura and a Diploma in Commercial Arbitration from the Institute for the Development of Commercial Law and Practice. He is also an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

Kosala is a Fellow and an International Professional Engineer of the IESL and was a Vice President of the IESL for 2019/20. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers (IET) UK, the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) USA, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) USA and Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association (SLEMA). Kosala is a certified Building Services Engineer, Adjudicator and Arbitrator of the IESL.

Kosala has 27 years of diversified experience in both semi government and private sector organizations. Presently, he holds the position of Managing Director/Lead Consultant of K2 Consultants (Pvt) Ltd.
