Mr. Samantha Singha Gunawardana is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), currently serving as the Vice President for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 sessions. With over 34 years of multi-disciplinary experience, he is the Chief Technology Officer at Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO). He holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from the University of Moratuwa, and a Merit Diploma in Commercial Arbitration from the ICLP.

His technical expertise encompasses LV Power Distribution, ELV systems, and Building Management Systems, highlighted by his executive leadership in major aviation infrastructure and large-scale commercial developments. Beyond corporate leadership, he has been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa since 2010 and has served seven terms as an IESL Council Member. His mastery of internationally and locally recognized contract conditions, combined with his statutory authority in engineering governance, defines his preeminent role in the profession.
