Dr. Ananda
Ranasinghe has graduated from the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya in the
field of Engineering and thereafter he has worked in many construction projects
in highways and buildings. He has also gained experience in structural
engineering where he has worked for leading consultancy firms both in Sri Lanka
and overseas.
He had
been a Visiting Lecturer for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students at
University of Peradeniya and University of Moratuwa. He is also an
Attorney-at-Law. He also serves as an Examiner for Institute for Architects,
Institution of Engineers and ICLP Arbitration Centre. For his PhD, he has
specialized in the application of Arbitration in the construction industry.
Dr
Ranasinghe has served in the Sri Lanka Army and retired as a Brigadier.
Presently he engages in dispute resolution in the construction industry including
in adjudication and arbitration. He held the position of President of the
Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka for the 2011/2012 session.
