Prof. Dolage graduated from University
of Moratuwa in the field of Civil Engineering in 1986 and thereafter he served
the CECB for a period of seven years. Within this period, he also served the
Airfield Construction Regiment of Sri Lanka Air Force as a Flight Lieutenant
for three years.
In 1994, he joined the Department of
Civil Engineering of the Open University of Sri Lanka as a Senior Lecturer
(Grade II). In 2000, he was promoted to the post of Senior Lecturer (Grade I)
and became the Head of the Department in 2002. In 2015, he was promoted as a
Professor in Civil Engineering. He was elected as the Dean of the Faculty of
Engineering Technology in 2018. He has served the University of Auckland
(1999/2000) and University of Liverpool (2008) and University of Manchester
(2012/2013) as Honorary Research Fellow.
He is a Fellow of the IESL and has
served in the IESL Council in nine sessions in various capacities and finally
became the Vice President in the session 2016/2017.
