Mr. S.U.K.Rubasinghe is presently working as Director (Registration, Accreditation and QMS) in the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), the regulatory body for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Sri Lanka.   Mr. Rubasinghe has over 30 years of experience in the TVET sector and has served at two main training agencies at different levels prior to joining the TVEC.

He started his career as an inspector at National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (formally known as NAB) after completing National Diploma in Engineering Sciences in year 1990. While serving at NAITA. he completed the IESL exams and obtained Associate Membership in 1995. During 1999 -2007 he served as Training Manager Mechanical Engineering Trade courses at Vocational Training Authority, the largest training network in Sri Lanka. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from University of Colombo in 2005 and then he joined the TVEC in 2007 as a Deputy Director.  Being a Master Trainer, he had trained hundreds of vocational instructors and contributed to inculcating training methodology among trainers in TVET sector. He contributed to the development of National Policy Framework for TVET sector in 2007 and 2018.
